I have a 6 speed manual, and did the jumper wire hook up for my high idle. Had the dealer flash it (was a big hassel to get him to do it), but now it work s!!

I too, had mine turned on (Auto was just setting the SW on). I use it for AC in the summer and for turbo cool down. If EGT > 400, just run it up to 1500 rpm, then lower the rpm, every time the egt drops 50F or so, until I'm at 350F, then shutdown!

When used with the exhaust brake, you can use it to warm up the motor quicker. Turn on the jake, then manually idle it up to 1000/1100. In the winter (30-40F mornings), the coolant will be at ~160-180F after hooking up the boat & pulling it out of the garage.

One of the great little features.

Yeah, nice feature. Too bad Dodge doesn't publicize it (or just hook it up from the factory ).
Just a FYI from my experience. On the 6sp manual 3rd Gen trucks, the 5.9L trucks require grounding out a pin on the ECM (#22 IIRC, but check some of the past threads). The 6.7L trucks have a green wire under the dash up by the E brake to ground out.
Looked forever for the green wire on my 5.9. It's not there.
Also a Bullydog will enable the high idle, just like the dealer does. Probably some other programmers too.

Cruise control on then accel to bump it up, decel to bring it down.

Foot on brake or CC off turns it back to normal idle.

Actually:
1) Cruise on
2) Press set - engine will idle to ~1000 rpm
3) Press accel to increase, max 1500rpm
4) Press decel to decrease, min 1000rpm

To turn off, press any of:
foot brake
cancel button
turn off cruise

Some charge the 1hr labor, and some don't charge.

Usually, if you have other work being done some will just throw it in.

steelblitzkrieg, no worries...we have all been known to forget stuff. It's all about being human.

My local dealer (closed now) enabled it for free on a Sat. Heck, the guy even helped me hook up the jumper wire and I didn't even ask him to. Flipped him $20 for his gracious help even though it wasn't expected.
Never had any work done at this dealer or by this tech, but he really seems to know his business and I think he's out of work now. At least from Dodge.
Anyone in Western CO needs some work done, PM me I can give his name and number.

My preferred local dealer (the one that trys to not always give me a hard time) said half hour/$29.99, just come by whenever and we'll try to squeeze it in. Just when I think I hate all the computer controls and will never buy another late model vehicle ever again, I find something like this and start liking it again...
