A guy I know has a 2nd gen quad cab 4x4 cummins on 315's with a 6spd. He has the most expensive banks kit on there that adds like 120hp. Apparently he tows 80,000 lbs up hill at 90mph without any trouble. Yall correct me on this but the last time I checked the max I've ever heard of being towed with a cummins is 35,000. I just thought I'd throw this one out there for yall. I'm waiting to get this guy behind me with my new injectors and show him what a true cummins can do. Apparently he doesn't think to highly of my stacks and my "bald" nittos (he runs BFG all terrains).
I've heard lots of stories too. Heres mine.
Max load 42,000lbs truck trailer and load. I regularly scaled 34,000 to 39,000. I didn't go up hill at 90mph though. 45mph was the tipical uphill speed.

"It was 80,000 lbs. of canaries, but they were all flying around in the trailer at the time."
The trailer would still weigh 80,000 pounds. The canaries would be pushing on the air below them with their wings and that air would push on the trailer floor.
Stopping would be interesting. Talk about a shifting cargo.

I pulled a load of hay a couple years ago with my 92 that grossed 39000 (truck, trailer, load combined), up an 8percent grade that was nine miles to the top and six down the other side---was going 45mph at the top, pretty high EGT, (1225) but it pulled pretty well. The only problem was slowin down coming down the other side, was a borrowed trailer that didn't have verygood brakes. Anyway I thought itwas a substantial load for a pickup.
