Question heater control lever

Now that cold weather has hit Alaska, I am using my heater more often. Anyone else having problems with the temperature of the air coming out of the vents. With lever all the way to the "red zone" - lots of heat. If I move the lever even three clicks from the max, the air is just barely warm. Seems to me it should be more of a gradual lessening of the heated air. Just curious. Also, love these heated seats With 1,000 miles on the new rig, TSB for white smoke done, first tank with all in town stop and go miles, 11.9 hand and 12.7 computer.

I know this doesn't help you but mine works fine. You probably already know this but I see two options: tearing the dash apart yourself to find where the heater control or mixing box is hanging up or dare I say, take it to the dealer.

Please fill out your signature so your truck info appears every time you post. Knowing the year will help the folks on this board solve your problem.

Thanks Handymantim for the info. I guess I will take it to the dealer next week. Maybe that is the way all lever operate, but I 'll take it to dealer anyway.

I just figured out how edit my signture.

I think there may be a TSB out there about how fast the HVAC takes to get warm in the cab.
