Here is something from Haisley's Website(re-arranged formatting so it would work on this forum).... I found it to be interesting....

A LITTLE BIT OF TRIVIA

FANS OFTEN ASK US IF WE MAKE A LOT OF MONEY TRUCK PULLING. WE JUST SMILE AND TELL THEM WE DO IT BECAUSE WE LOVE IT! VAN PUT SOME FIGURES TOGETHER THE OTHER NIGHT. WE THOUGHT WE'D SHARE THEM.

FULL PULL ONE MILE 17.6 FULL PULLS OIL CHANGE
300 FEET 5280 FEET PER MILE EVERY 600 FEET

IN 300 FEET, THE TRUCK USES:
3 GAL DIESEL FUEL
5 QT INJECTED WATER

THE OIL IS CHANGED EVERY 600 FEET FOR A MILE TOTAL OF
35.2 GAL OIL

COST PER MILE
OIL AND FILTERS 328.86 CHANGES PER MILE
FUEL 369.60 52.8 GALLONS
WATER 22.00 22 GALLONS

$720.46 PER MILE

Anyone figure what it costs the Haisley Machine team to drag their 2 pulling trucks to all of these events? Theres something to be said for that as well..... The haul those trucks up to several hundred miles to pulls many weeks during the summer..... and those cost figures were only for one truck.... they operate two trucks......

anyone do the math on this on , when did diesel start costing over $6 a gallon. it wont hit that for a couple more months

FUEL 369.60 52.8 GALLONS

52.8 gallons X $2.50 = $132

I'm sure it's cheaper when you buy it by the truckload, just like anything else.
