Gun safety

gun safety and the law. {yes, anathor one of those things that Can't Happen togteher} I carry a 5-shot .38 rveolver with the attacheed to my belt, It there anythinge wrong with that, I move it to the truck underseat befror I get out of the truck. I get a lot of questions "did you loose your gun"

What is really the law concerning carrijng?

It isn't conceiled.

I know here in Utah, anyone can carry a gun in plain site.

Well, everywhere except post offices, courts, federal and state buildings.

As long as you can legally possess a firearm.
(underage, convicted felons, etc)

That doesn't mean it's acceptable, and you won't get stares and maybe a phone call to the police.

There's more laws concerning concealed firearms then there are firearms in plain site.

AFAIK, Indiana is one of the states where it's pretty simple to get a concealed carry permit. Why not get one so you don't have to leave the gun in the truck, it doesn't do you much good in there.
