is this good?

took my dads 98 24v into the shop to have the lift pump press chacked and a few other little things. the diesel mech. said the lift pump held 10psi of of Fuel pressure. He said that was within limits. what are the limits? the truck has 75k "stock" miles and seems to run pretty good
thanks

The pressure should be checked at idle, cruising speed and WOT to make sure it is with specs in all of these ranges.

Specs are: anything less than 8 PSI at ANY time means get a new pump. This is best checked at WOT.

Diesel tech said 15lb at idle, that should be a good place to start. If it don't have that you can be sure the other pressures will be down accordingly. Just checked mine with 75000 km on my second pump, 15 lb at idle . He also said not less than 8 lb under load, as stated above.
