Fuel Prices

Gas, $2.54, Diesel $2.76, normally round here summertime diesel is .20 cheaper than gas, winter time it gets higher and they blame it on home heating oil, is there a reason or just the good ol oil companies stickin it to us again???????????????

Because they can. As long as we keep buying it and don't develop alternatives they will keep stickin it in and we won't get a kiss either.

Just paid 3.39. But that was less than regular at 3.44. First time that #2 has been less than regular since I bought my truck, March of '04.

Then someone else will get a stab at "sticking it to us". We'll all be complaining about "Big Bio" or some crap! It doesn't seem to matter what the Good or Service, if they can find a way to rape the Middle Class they will.

Glad I wasn't complaining about the $2.84 I paid yesterday... down from $2.89 the last time I filled up! That made me happy... I guess I'm conditioned to think I'm getting a bargain now!

Average Gas price in the Houston,Tx area is $2.95 for regular unlead and $2.75 for good old Diesel. But we have some wacky stores like the Shell in front of Nasa space center that wants $3.05 for regular unlead and $3.10 for "Premium Diesel" LOL Its a sad day when its cheaper to drive my 05 3500 Ram than it is to drive my Toyota 4runner.

Did yall see the poll of fox news asking how much does gas have to cost before you would consider it a crisis ?? The MAJORITY of people that were polled said 5 or 6 bucks a gallon. Who are they polling, Donald Trump ?? Heck I think $4.00 a gallon for any period of time would cause some major harm to our economy. I've always liked fox news but latly they are getting kinda out there. They had one guy defending the $400 million retirement to that exxon cronie and saying the way to fix the gas prices is to add a HUGE tax to drive the price way up. They clamed people would be forced to get gas efficent vehicles and change their comminting ETC. I guess they don't realize the effect on the trucking industry.

That is the problem, IMO. If you look at prices over the last couple of years, you will see a pattern. First they raise prices and raise prices until we scream bloody murder. Then they back off those prices about 10-20 cents. They keep those prices steady for about six months, and then they start raising the prices again. Then we scream again, then the cycle repeats.

I see them reducing the prices about 25 cents a gallon real soon (which is still above the starting price of a few weeks ago), and then holding that for a while. That is my prediction, and I've done pretty good so far.

I hear ya... It's irritating, but no one is doing anything about it... ya know?

PS --- I seen the reference to Lee Raymond and his 400 million dollar "retirement package" --- anyone notice the resemblance to him and Jabba the Hut? I did a little side by side pic the other day at work... gave me a good laugh!
