Unless you are heavily BOMBed and need ungodly amounts of fuel, the 95gph pump is more than adequate. I had the 150gph FASS on my '99 (with 3/8" fuel lines), and had 14.5 psi at idle, 14 while driving, and 13.5 at WOT. I wasn't given a choice when I ordered the unit (direct from the vendor).

I now have the AirDog on my '00 (with 1/2" lines). AirDog only offers a 95 gph pump since their testing has indicated there is no need for higher volume. My AirDog idles at 17.5 psi, and will not drop below 17 at WOT. I will be installing all the Banks equipment after the last of it arrives (hopefully later this week). It will be interesting to see if it drops below 17.

I don't have the time right now to perform the calculations. Maybe someone has already done so. If you determine what the "volume test" for the lift pumps is suppose to produce (based on the volume the VP needs to stay healthy), and expand that volume into "GPH", I'm willing to bet that it will be less than 95 GPH.

Want my opinion (you probably dont )...........

neither....

Holley Blue for $108 and re-do the tank pickup and lines yourself..

FWIW....95 GPH fuel rate is enough fuel for 1,600 HP on any diesel engine with 30% efficiency...

Hey Kevin,
Since you mentioned it, and I've heard of it before, but what needs to be done to redo the tank pickup? I've got the intake line from my FASSII hose clamped directly to the port on top the tank (no Q-D). What's the benefit of the redone pickup in the tank?
Thanks !~
I'll hear your opinion

Convert it to bottom pickup, that way the suction side of the pump has some additional head, namely the height of fuel column in the tank. Pumps love as much NPSH as you can give em (net positive suction head). Plus you will love how much better it primes after a filter change and the fuel level in the tank is low....I used 1/2" swagelock the whole way from the bottom pickup to the pump, then used a large Cuno rotate-to-clean strainer before the pump and removed the fine mesh wire inside the pump on the suction side..

BUT dont do what I did at first..... I put the pickup too far forward, and now with 1/4 or less of a full tank while acclerating hard the fuel level slides back in the tank from the G's and uncovers the port

I am gonna move it aft once the weather warms up.. until then, its 1/2 tank min for me.....
