Exhaust ideas
I have the MBRP exhaust on my truck, and I'm getting a little tired of the drone. Have any of you guys ever added another muffler to this exhaust system that you'd recommend? Or are there any new exhaust systems on the market that might be a little more quiet? I'm not up to date on my accessories.

I'm going to put my factory muffler back on this summer. I might try to use two mufflers. Too much drone with Banks 4" muffler alone.

I ran my 4" MBRP for many, many, many thousands of miles and never had any drone what so ever. Had a nice deep tone inside and outside the cab. I loved it until I got the crazy idea to put stacks on without a muffler and .....Holy SheepShank Batman!!!!!....that son-of-a-beast would absolutely smoke your head. I finally added a 5" Magnaflow and made it somewhat tolerable but with a load behind it she stills rattles the inside of the cab .
Just my .02 worth.

people run those big long donaldson mufflers off of semi trucks. they seem to flow good and quiet it up a good amount. i think they are like 32 inch or 42 somethin?

I just did a 5" Magnaflow and like it a lot. It is louder but not obnoxious at all. It has a nice mellow sound not getting harsh at any RPM.
It is a cat-back and I am going to have a cat delete pipe made too so I can swap it in and out.
My cousin gets great prices on them at his muffler shop too.

Its a bit expensive but I really like my Corsa system. I didn't know it at the time, or just didn't notice, but you can buy the Corsa muffler separately. It is a straight through muffler with only 2 1" slots at the beginning and end of the pipe with no perforations. The slots lead to a tuned chamber that cancels out drone. The muffler is very heavy, well made and flows great. It does not drone at all! Honestly this is the muffler Dodge should've used from the factory.
For what its worth their exhaust is very nice as well. It fits great and exits at the stock location. The only thing I didn't like at all was their weird oval tip. That's not a problem because any tip will work so I put my old MBRP tip on and everything looks great.
I've had a couple people see the tip and think it was an MBRP system but looking under the truck see that it doesn't look or sound like any MBRP they'd seen.
