Anyone installed the new Electric fans and removed the actual engine fan to save on horsepower. How big a job and is it worth it ?

 

some say they wont move as much air as the stock fan i have not had exp with the fans in question i do run a set of elect fans on my chevelle and they work great so i am intrested to see if these fans for the cummins will work just hate to bite the bullet first to find out they dont work that well

 

you will get a check engine light. the current fan set up is controlled by the ECM.

 

Didnt they get that fixed yet? The last I talked to them they were working on getting a fooler so that wouldnt happen

i run them on my 03 and love them. no check engine light.

 

I believe Dperf is running twin fans

 

not that I know of. They are probably alright if you don't tow heavy.

 

These are one of the many things that I would like to do to my truck, but unfortunately there are a few things that are more important first
