just was trying to find out how or where people actually tap into to install on of these. I seen some pics with shutoff valves on them, but yet they are electric gauges. also I know I need a snubber but cant I just put a t in the line?? anyone have pics of their installs???

Easiest way is with a tapped banjo bolt.

The snubber is used to reduce the hammering pulses tot he sender. Much like a needle valve does.

What are you looking for? The sender, gauge or both?

Many guys have used a grease gun hose. It is not fuel rated, but the thought process is, if it works with grease (petroleum product) it'll work with fuel.

Use at your own risk. Any other fuel rated hose is going to most likely NOT have any give and it'll be like you bever used it at all.

I have heard that folks do and do not have issues with just mounting the sending unit near the VP. But I can tell you the pulses hammer it.

Go to NAPA and ask for a needle valve with 1/8" NPT (Male to female). It will act as a snubber. I need the same thing. I've got the Geno's hose right off the VP44 and have already killed two electric sending units in 3 years.

When I went hunting for a needle valve, I tried Napa and they did not have one. I ended up finding one a Ace Hardware.
