truck being empty or with 2000 lbs in it same thing. i approach a hill at 1800rpm apply WOT and egts hardly break 900-1000 i only have the ez but still. it is -20 C' does this seem right or is my vp dieing on me, it is old.

Sounds about right. With just the ez you aren't adding any real fuel (heat).

With a comp they'd go higher for sure. I wouldn't draw any parallel between that and the VP. Although, if it is original, you are well beyond the life expectancy......

Especially that year (and 99) they were some of the worst.

where is your pyro tap?

temps seem ok with the ambient temp you're dealing with. but like johnh asked where is the tap?

tap is before turbo if thats what you mean pre or post. thanks on the vp note but with 300000km i start to blame anything on it

They are hit and miss, all you can do is keep an eye on your fuel pressure and hope for the best. I've never heard of someone changing one out as PM. ($$)

Having ~$1,000 ear marked for it would be wise though......
