EGTs How Low Should I let Them Get?

How low should my EGTs be before I shut her off? I've been just letting it go down to 400F (pre-turbo temp.) before I shut it off. Is that still to hot? Also on an autometer pyro. is there a way to adjust it so it will read a hundred hotter or colder than actual temp.? Thanks guys, this site is the best thing.

300F seems to be the generally accepted shutdown temp

yup 300 is what i have read. i dotn belive you can adjust the autometer gauge. i run one.

mine will come to 400 FAST and takes a 1 min or so to get to 300 and 3-5 mine to get to 250.
