DYNO numbers
DYNO numbers
well they werent what i was hoping for but i got a decent amount of power, i jumped on a dyno jet and hit 435rwhp and 739rwtq, in valet mode, but only made 10 more ponies out of valet mode 445rwhp and 750rwtq, so i need to do some tuning, also the dyno guy said their machine really couldn't load the rollers enough for diesels, said i was probably closer to 460-470 rwhp i dunno. also my turbo would hit full boost, anyways those are the numbers, im still not happy though my goal is 500+rwhp so more work must be done

Was that done in overdrive with the converter locked? Was it a 248 dynojet? (You can check the dynojet webpage if you don't know) Was there a correction factor??? (sae x.xx)
445 is a respectable baseline, congrats.

nope, no overdrive and no lockup tc, just a built 727, im not sure on the dyno jet model, but they had a diesel dyno day a week ago and some guys didn't dyno their true numbers, some couldn't even hit full boost, so im probably closer to 500 than 445 but not sure how much more to go.
You're right that some trucks don't see full boost on a dynojet. Overdrive is what people use for dynojets so you're not getting a good pull. A load dyno uses direct drive and should give you better results.
So you can't lock the converter on a 727?

that would be a negative, 727 aint got none lockup converters
but i was told by a tranny guy that if i had a tranny that had a lockup tc, i would be putting more like 500-580hp to the ground, he said my numbers are quite impressive for a nonlockup tranny.
