Don M contact?

I've tried sending a PM several times, but your box is always full. I would very much like to discuss performance improvements using your products and sevices for my truck.

I have a '98 12 valve 3500 dually with 105K miles that I've mildly upgraded with a full Banks power pack (torque plate, turbine kit, waste gate, intake, etc. and 4" exhaust), an NV5600 six speed transmission, and an SBC CON OFE clutch. The truck's primary use is to pull my 40' enclosed racecar trailer, but everyday "fun", driveability, and fuel mileage are also important. I only use the vehicle to tow approximatley 15/20% of the time. I'd like to try to increase the "fun" while driving empty, but not get beyond the limits of decent towing capability.

With Jet Pilot's help at Performance Diesel Warehouse, I've ordered an Industrial Injection SPS62, a 100 torque plate, a 3K Governor spring kit, an AFC spring kit, and an ATS exhaust manifold. I plan to port match, possibly extrude hone and powdercoat the exhaust manifold to enhance flow.

I have a new set of 370s, but research on this board indicates your Hot Rod 370s will perform significantly better - less smoke, better drivability, better mileage, etc. I don't want to go to all the effort of replacing all the above components only to "miss the setup" on the injectors.

I apologize for the long post, and I hope I haven't offended any other members. I have a very brief period of time to perform the modifications to my truck before my other commitments take priority. Thank you very much for any help you can provide!

Yes, I'm sure Doug can hook me up with the parts without too much difficulty, but sometimes it's more than that. Over the years I've found that a guy can throw a bunch of stuff together and be reasonably pleased with the results. BUT, if one takes the time to understand what each performance upgrade brings to the table and makes the effort to optimize the "sum of the parts", OUTSTANDING results can be achieved. IMHO, that is mostly likely to occur by speaking directly to the experts that manufacture the individual parts as they have intimate knowledge of their products and how they work in coordination with others. Doug seems very knowledgeable, and that's why I've ordered a bunch of stuff through him already, but I'd still like to talk to Don to be able get his opinions and advice on what I'm trying to accomplish.

Sorry for the long post, but I'm kinda new to this diesel performance thing and I'm trying to apply some of the difficult lessons that I've learned in the past. Like they say... there's lots of good lessons at the school of hard knocks, but dadgumm they got high tuition!
