I looking at buying a 2005 ctd with the edge juice with additude already installed. If the guy ran that for a while it left a nice little footprint In the computer. My question is if I get rid of the juice and purchase a smarty can I get rid of the footprint the juice left or is it permanent? I love the fact the smarty is not easy found by the dealer am I wasting my time now that the edge has been on it? This is a 6spd truck if i do purchase it what should i look for since hes been running the edge programmer?

Well I don't know how much of a footprint the juice will leave since it is a plug in module...

Unless there were other mods a standard Juice/Attitude should not leave much of any footprint other than external visual(seal mark on injector connectors will be broken, etc.). Maybe boost readings around 40psi, but not much else.

From what i've heard if the Edge is removed it won't be detected exceept for obvious signs like stated above - mostly the pyro probe will give it away. Doubt you have anything to worry about with the fact that the Edge has been installed. Other than the clutch depending on how it was driven. If it got driven hard alot with the box on higher settings I'd be willing to bet the clutch has been slipped a few times if its still the stocker.
