Since the new JRs POD my buddies and I have been trying to figure out where to mount this thing so it doesnt have to sit on my lap. My buddy set it on top of the center console and it seemed like it just HAD to work. So I did what I could and I think it turned out pretty good. Well heres the pictures. what do you think?

I like it! Very clean install. It looks like a good place, and out of the way as well for both driver and passenger.

I wouldn't worry about someone stealing it...

i would have mounted it the other way and closer to the front edge. so you can glance over at it rather than turn your whole head. to each his own, nice work though.

 

looks good if you have a cat for a co-pilot. that location would result in 80lbs of golden retriever stepping on my screen...

 

I wanted to do that also but the cord comes out of the smarty on the top so it would have to be pushed back quite a bit. And I was worried about the leather and/or pad becoming too weak.

 

I figured that the 5 fingers would think its "bolted" on since its mounted in the leather. Thats why they make tint for window!

 

Now if you every decide to get a big boy smarty you'll have a big hole in your console.
