Crazy Larry on an '03-'04?
Hey all. Im putting an HE351 on my truck pretty soon. Its waiting patiently in a box in the garage. I think I last posted about the 5" turboback that I installed with a side exit and since then I added some Moto Metal 18s and new tires too.
On to the point of this thread. A few months back I uploaded an "updated" tune to my Bullydog and it had the extra low end power setting. I loved it! I dont race this truck and the added low end was perfect for my driving style. For some reason though, it didne last long. The power slacked off and I tried to reload it. No dice. It got wo where there was no smoke at all. Took the truck to the dealer (with no tune) and had them check the fuel system. It was in perfect working order. So I figured somehow the Tuner had become corrupted. I called BD this morning and he was very helpful and emailed me another older tune that just so happened to have the "Crazy Larry" tune also. Like I said I dont race, so I dont think Ill hurt anything as I just like low end power. It seems like I read that this tune wont work on the '04s. Or was it that its not as effective? Either way I can now get some smoke just sitting in driveway and mashing the throttle. I wanted to make sure its not bad for this year truck before I drove it.
Thanks all!

First the low end power will kill the best of built trans be careful running that option. What version did they email you?? and the tech that emailed you the program hope his boss does not find out about it. He will loose his job big no-no for them to do that.
But back to the file some trucks did not respond well with the regular version of CL so they made a version just for the triple nickel motors

OK. I reloaded it without the low end. My next question would be is this one of the better tunes from BD for the "555"? I know Smarty is best in some opinions, but I dont have the extra $550 for a used one right now..
2.4ct was made for the triple nickel trucks is supposed to be the best program for them.
