Are you replacing your stock springs? Most diesels came with a 038/039 combo, or a 039/046 combo. If you are planning on putting a winch on, or a heavy bumper, get the 046/047 combo. If you are going to plow with it, get 047/048. That's what I put in my truck, and I love it. It rides a little bit stiffer, but I can handle that. It only drops 3/4" raising a 1,000+ lb. plow!

If you need a part no. go to your dodge dealer and have them look up springs, and the last 3 numbers are the ones listed above. I paid around $300 for the pair, but well worth it! Plus I sold my old springs on ebay for $92

What the the HD springs come out of? I'm guessing a HD 3500 but I never knew they made somany different springs. not saying my stock springs don't work but if I could gte a little bit stiffer ride it would be nice.

I haven't ever seen the 047 and 048 springs on a stock truck, but they could be for a 3500 w/ plow prep, just a guess. All I know is that I get no sway when cornering with the stiff springs on there! Plus they gave me an inch of lift

I installed sky-jacker 2 -1/2" springs in the front of mine. Heavy bumper and plow. 1-1/2" drop with the snow- plow raised. I used good quality stock length shocks. I consider this a essential upgrade. The truck sits level. Tows well. Decent stiffness. (stiffenenss is REALLY controlled with adjustable gas shocks. BUT:$$$) I believe that there was a price tag of $92.00 each. They were sold as replacement parts to a lift kit. Just what I did. And the most satisfying upgrade.(well....except for power enhancements) Simple do it yourself project. I have noticed some RAMS sit higher than others. Mine was ordered as heavy as I could . Sno-prep and all. Sat 2"lower than my brothers 3500 with 235's with out any x-tra pkgs.
My truck came with 265's and now sports 315's..and I'm 2" taller than his 3500!
