clutches

Changed to a new Banks intake today. It must do some good, now I power through the clutch in the money gear, total slippage. It never did it before the new intake. this is with Edge Attitude on 5. I thought I'd check with the dodge dealer about a tsb I heard about concerning some 2005 Dodge clutch issues. Anyway if that didn't work out I figured on changing out the clutch. A kid that works for me suggested a Luk premium gold clutch, said it cured his problem in his '95 Cummins. I would hope that there is a good one out there that wouldn't make you lose that nice soft pedal that comes in these Dodges. Anybody with some other ideas?

Luk is a good brand. Also look at South bend clutch as well. They have a couple of good replacements for the NV 5600... Personally I have the SBC Double Disc clutch. Pedal pressure is high, it rattles, and is expensive... But it'll hold over 650 hp no problem... Their single disk CON FE or OFE is probably going to be what you are looking for...

Thanks for the reply and the info. I'm not pulling anything more than maybe a horse traiker in the future and the luck the kid that works for me (35' toy hauler) is having with the luk I'll probably wind up with the luk. Have you or anyone else out there heard of this tsb i was talking about concerning certain vin 05's. I havent crawled under mine yet for the tranny number but it does have the aluminum housing.

No I haven't heard about the TSB on the 05 transmissions... I have a 2006 with a G-56. Maybe someone can chime in here?

South Bend all the way. I'm not saying theyre arent other good clutches but the dealings I've had with SB have been excellent, their customer service is outstanding.
