Chevy Wreck OUCH- PIC

Hey all. This happened a couple days ago a town over from me. This was a Chevy crew cab dually pulling a 40' dual tandem hauling at least 18,000+ lbs of steel. A lady pulled out in front of him causing him to hit her and he veered off and ran into an embankment. Lady was flown out of the scene. I only have one picture ad I'm sorry about the quality. I took this picture from another picture using my camera phone. I'll see what I can do to get more pics.

Oh yea, the driver and his wife both walked away WITHOUT a scratch...

glad to hear they are Ok! buying quality stuff (right truck, right trailer) makes life a lot easier.

there's a guy pulls a Jet ski looking thing with his Miata around here.

folks in SUV's around here cut off 18 wheelers. 18 wheeler destroyed a Navigator yesterday, blocked traffic for ~3 hours.

people are so dumb sometimes, i think Darwin is using traffic to weed them out

on the highway other day,
a new Doodle bug had slammed on her brakes,
a Z71 had rear'ed her.
a little itty bitty Jap Car had rear'd the Z71.

and guess what?

the reason the Jap Car was behind the Z71 was he had got in the "safety cushion space" left by a F-250.

the F-250 had a gooseneck trailer FULL of raw steel - he compacted them all together when he rear'ed the Jap Car.

Was a good example of "big truck disease" got contagious

That is something you would not expect to walk away from, thank the man up stairs for them. That picture reminds me of a pic from some years a friend was hauling a load of cattle through WY in the winter and went off the road. He hit a ditch and then a 10 tall snow bank that had turned to solid ice. He was driving a o2 ext cab dodge and folded his truck the opposite way of the chev. The front and rear tires were only about 2 feet away from each other and the trailer (a wilson) was still hooked to his B&W turnover ball.

One example where where the goosneck trailer is just a little less safe than bumper pull... when the trailer neck enters the cab!

Both are very lucky to be alive.

Very lucky is correct. I think part of drivers ED, Each student should be required to ride in a truck for a day (with a good trucker ) just to realized how stupid 4-wheelers are!!!

Big Tex makes some good trailers, but Brute's are stronger and usually come out to less $$!

amazing pic BTW!

That's amazing!! Good point by the way Horsehauler! I was on I-65 south and traffic was a mess. Came along side a trailer truck, in front of him was a pretty good size gooseneck. The rear truck was touching the back of the gooseneck. On the gooseneck, a backhoe. It was being pulled by a durathing dually and the nose of the pickup truck was rammed underneath the trailer truck in front of him. You know that big bumper that hangs down on the trailers, it was sitting on top of where the grille is on the cheby. The guy was alright, he was standing there talking on the cell phone, probably saying something like, " YOU AIN"T GONNA BELIEVE THIS............!!!!"
