My cargo light won't come on with the cargo light switch. I am under the impression that the 3rd brake light is also the cargo light? It works with the brakes, and I think reverse lights, but when I hit the cargo light switch, no go. The little led light on the switch itself comes on, but not the cargo light. I checked the fuses, and all is ok. Anybody have any ideas? And how can I remove the cargo light switch housing without breaking it?

The 1st gens do not have a third brake light. That almost useless light on the back of the cab is a stand alone light. If the switch light comes on them most likely the bulb is blown in the cab light.

If you pull the light out to check the bulb make sure it seals up good when you reinstall it. If not you will get water into the cab.
