I was wondering who's running what type box or downloader on there 2006 CTD and are you happy with the product, thanks for your help James

 

Depends on what you want to do with your truck. As far as availability, I've read Superchips, Bullydog and TST all have units for your truck. That's a good spread in power from least to most as listed above. You'll need a lot of backup upgrades if you go with the TST.

Just got a new 06, and picked up a Triple Dog. Once I downloaded the upgrade from the website it worked great. Plus I was able to tune in some of the tricks the Triple Dog allows for (Fog Lamps w/ High Beams).

Gonna try this for a while, I love the power and so far no problems.

 

I'm ordering my gauges today and planing on a improved intake and performance muffler. I tow a gooseneck trailer an just want a little more power and better mpg.
What kind of tricks does the triple offer?

 

Please explain the fogs with the high beams.Can this be done with the BD power pup with outlook monitor also?coobie

 

I dont believe it can. It is on the 06 programers it can do all kinds of things like turn off your seatbelt reminder.

 

Yeah the triple dog is the only one that has the new features. I believe you can get them for the 03-05 trucks with V2.2.3. It mostly has to do with the internet upgradeability of the triple dog. They are always adding new stuff.

Oh and also, the fog w/ high beams allows you to have you Fog lamps on when you turn your high beams on.

 

A buddy of mine has a very well equipped '06. He's running BD Twins, FASS, Exh & Intake, TST Twins, BDDL Stacked, DTT built tranny, City Diesel Intercooler, SNOW STG II Water/Meth. Works good, very fast truck.
