Have you made any changes to your fuel screw or timing? I have read that the timing bump will drop boost some.

Your turbo is spun with exhaust pressure. Increasing the fuel increases exhaust witch spins the turbo better and increases boost. At least that's my understanding.

You put both washers back on when you hooked the AFC line up?

If in fact your missing a washer from the AFC banjo, I'v found that a injector washer from a non I/C truck will work in a pinch.

Threaded screw on back of AFC is the idle. The one on the front is a throttle stop, commonly called the high idle adjustment.

I'm not sure but if my understanding on how more fuel increases exhaust/drive pressure is correct then I can see how turning the fuel pin could increase boost some.

That stinks. Wonder if that's the cause of your problem.
