I want to install some BD Injectors and am wondering if I will need to modify anything to compensate for the extra hp. I will only go with the 60hp injectors.

Can I installl these myself or are injectors tricky?

Injectors are a piece of cake if you have any mechanical abilities. It gets a little tricky to remove the valve cover because it's a tight fit. Otherwise, it's straight-forward.

You will need some sort of boost-fooler with your 60hp injectors, for a couple of reasons: 1. so you don't throw an "over boost" code from the added fuel. and 2. because you want more boost to burn the fuel cooler (egt's).

You can buy just a boost-fooler or some of the power enhancing "boxes" will have one built in (and you gain more power from the box as well, so you have to make sure your drivetrain will handle it).

I'm not going to touch the cost issue; if you want them, get them. Look in the classifieds for used, or if you feel better about buying new then buy from a reputable performance shop. I have DD3's but I have not tried anyone elses. I can still pull 18mpg or smoke a tailgater with my setup so I am happy.
