I don't want to start a "Thread War" here, just tell you my opinion. I installed the Big Hoss Bundle myself that I got at a great price. I was very happy with the ease of installation and I like its performance better than the power pup. I know some of your opinions on the Banks products, but I feel they are fine. I do want to thank anyone who helped out by giving me their opinion. I am considering a water methanol system for my next project. What are y'alls opinion on them? Go ahead and start whipping and smashing me..... I'm ready!!

 

Nothing wrong with Banks. I think most peoples views on them are they are a bit on the expensive side. That mentioned if you got it for a heck lot cheaper than say something else go for it. A lot of people like to drop in a replacement muffler (say MBRP) for 150 bucks or so, rather than spend 300 on the banks. Both are stainless ect, but most say hey half the price same thing, so they go that way.

I plan on getting a banks intercooler in the near future due to my plastic crapper one. And there on the books. unless I can find one of better quality for the same price or cheaper, that's who I'm going with.

It's all what you want, how much you want to spend, and more. Outa all the chips there's some that make better ones, cheaper, this and that, but the TST fitted my needs the best, so I bought it from them.

The number one complaint with Banks is the price, the second is customer service. If you buy their stuff from a good vendor like some of the good folks who sponsor this site....you can get a good deal and you can get good customer support. Sometimes people complain about the price of things but never shop around or have a chip on their shoulder when dealing with people and get the service poor attitude gets. I've never bought a thing from Banks and I still get their newletter and they call me once a quarter to see if there is anything I'm interested in. To date I have not found that item. Their products are well made in an expensive place, Ca. The price is gonna be higher than those that source staff, materials, and services in any other state or country. JMHO, I'm sure you will be happy with a well designed system. ks

 

Why so you want H20/Meth injection when your only other power adder is a box. There's lots of other things I would do first. Since Banks makes it a point in their delux system's to keep egt's low, I'd gonna bet you dont have an egt problem and thats the main pourpose of h20/meth. Heck most 500HP guys dont have it, why do you want it?

I personally dont like drugs

First Id go with a tranny upgrade since its at its limit.

Then id look into a turbo

Then id look at your fuel system

Then injectors.

Do you use the search feature much?

If not give it a try, It will answer 75% of your questions.

Im glad your happy with your Banks Bundle.

Im surprised they didnt try to sell you more of their products. You could always give them a call and they will tell you why you NEED to buy whatever you already havent bought from them.
