auto swap for manual?

I've seen people ask rediculous prices for auto's taken out of these trucks with even 150k miles, i'm not sure what to ask for it when I swap it out. I was thinking like 800 for a good shifting one, i'll probably put mine up for sale while it's still in the truck so people can come for a ride to see how it shifts. That $2000 kit sounds great, because even used nv4500 are like 1500, not refurbished ones, just plain old used ones, lol.

lol, yea.
I'm really interesed in this kit, my auto is ok, i mean no problems with it, but a 5spd puting the power to the ground in all gears, and choosing ur own gears is gonna be great.

Big thanks to Pete97, i'll let him post up his write-up, but it makes it sound really easy, and he even has all the parts listed with prices you'll most likely pay, most new parts to. $2686 was the total added up for a complete 5spd swap, you could do it cheaper with more used junk yard finds. Thanks again Pete, i'll be in touch probably a bunch while I get this sorted out, lol.

If there is alot of interest in another thread about a auto to manual conversion I'll post my notes. If anyone wants to PM me with questions, go ahead. Let me know what you guys think about starting a new thread. If anyone needs help and wants to talk instead of using the computer. PM me and give your phone number or i'll give you mine. Pete
