Anyone Else Bend the driveshaft

So I was in my Mega Cab last Saturday night. Had a few drinks so wasnt thinking as I should be. Had three other guys in the truck with me and did a typical burnout. (have done a handful Maybe five) in the past) Tires get expensive so I truely dont do it to often. With the added weight and the street was relativly new the truck was really trying to grip up. I stopped went on with the night. Next couple of day notice a vibration under accileration. Put it up on the lift and found the bearig the middle had disintegrated, the loop was totally blown up and the drive shaft had torqued and bent enough to swip the side of the fuel tank. Well fixed all now and truck is back to normal. Just curious if anyone else has bent a drive shaft like that.

I'd be a little more careful than publically announcing you were DUI!

I can't believe anyone would be dumb enough to get drunk and do a burnout in a $50,000 truck and then get on a public forum and announce it to everyone! Hello!!! You had passengers too!!! Dude, you're lucky all you got was an exploded bearing and bent driveshaft!

Bad things happen to those jerks who drink and drive. Lets just say you were luck thats all the damage you had during your fun filled night out.

Hell I'll go one step more. Until you've had a family member injured by a drunk driver you'll never know. Next time find a tree or light pole and excelerate.

Guys, I didnt mean to blow things out of context. I had two drinks prior to this. It wasnt any different a testosterone filled thought than if there was no drinking. The point to the thread was simple question. Am I the only one that has bent a drive shaft while doing something dumb (like this)

I had my whole life altered by a drunk driver. He had no insurance, and wasn't worth anything. Who cares that I got a judgment on the sob for 1.2 million. He doesn't work so I don't get anything from him. I still can't run, can't play sports.

My knees were totally destroyed when hit head on. Took over a year to get to walking right. He was driving an old porsche. I can't imagine if we had been hit in one of these big trucks. I'd have been dead instead of "just in the hospital for 6 weeks" and "stuck in a wheelchair for 6 months" and "walking like an old lady with my stupid walker for 2 months after that"..... then crutches..

Please, don't drive drunk. My best friend is paralyzed (he was driving).

Well depending on the drink, and body mass you might have been close to the limit or **** close. Many be this is the way that you conduct your life, DTR can refund the remainder of your membership and you can find a forum that will pat you on the back for driving drunk.

k guys i think you might be being kinda hard on him. He never said he was drunk. He said he had 2 drinks, Now he didn't say what kind of drinks, but anyway scold him and lets move on. You guys can't tell me you have never had a beer or two and got in your truck. I don't think it was the alcohol that night, it was gents in his truck that lead this to happen. 2 beers for me is like talking a Sudefed, but i'm 6' 3 and 230 pounds so who knows. Alcohol is illegal to a point, BURNOUTS are illegal all the time, why not that?

If I have a dollar every time a drunk driver told me he only had "2 drinks", I could retire and not deal with the bs anymore.....

Im sure plenty of people on here have done that a time or two in life. No ones perfect. Any way, Did the carrier bearing go out also? I have a friend with a 600 horse mega, and he cant seem to keep a carrier in it. Anyone know the permanent fix???
