Anybody know where I can get the front 1/2 of a 273 T Case?

I've got a crack in the fron 1/2 of my T Case on my 06.

I'm hoping to replace that half of the Case this weekend.

Anybody know where I an get one?

Cheaper is better...

On a side note, anybody had one of those cases apart yet?

Is this a big job?

Great!
I hope you are right. I've never had one apart. Are there any special tools needed or complicated assembly?

I called around and the only place I have found one is from the dealer.
$635 for the front case 1/2

Start calling wreckers. I got a 271 for less than what the dealer wants for your half.

Yep, I've called a dozen wreckers or more and had no luck.

One place said they had a complete case they would sell m for $1,800 but you can buy a re-man from Dodge for $2,000

I can't seem to find an option besides Dodge.

I believe that actually ALL Mega Cabs are Electric shift.

Surely SOMEBODY has to have a core around I could rob the front case 1/2

Call Martin at AFI Performance. He has a buddy that has a wrecking yard in the SE of Edmonton. He had lots of stuff there, thats where I got my tranny/t-case from. They also had a complete 12v and 24v on the shelf there. Its worth a shot.
