Any reason for a bypass with 7500 mile interval?
Is there any reason to look at a bypass oil filter setup if I am going ot continue with the 7500 mile interval or is it more for the guys do the extended?

I think they are a good idea no matter what....just dont buy synthetic and change it that often because that is a waste.

So if you had your druthers, how would you go? Bypass, and which one??, along with say 15,000 mile interval and stratapore with premium blue or blue extreme? Then change the bypass filter like every 60K?

I installed a bypass for one reason, it catches the particles that are actually MORE harmful to your engine. The stock oil filter and it's replacements catch particles down to about 15nm, or at least that's what they claim is thier limits. A good bypass filter will catch particles down to 2nm. It is the particles between 15nm and 2nm that do the greatest amount of long-term wear damage.
There are lots and lots of opinions regarding oil change intervals, dyno vrs synthetic, etc and lots and lots of reasons for installing/having a bypass filter, but my main reason was to catch the smaller particles. I change my oil and filter every 6K and will change the bypass every 12 K. I'm using the Valvoline Premium Blue 15w40 oil and the Stratapore filter. I have the Amsoil BMK-11 bypass and am using their filter. I really do not care about the additional cost, or the ability to lengthen the oil change intervals.
I have the Amsoil synthetics in everything else, but I am staying with the recommended oil in the engine, just keeping it cleaner and maintaining it on a more frequent interval.

I wish I could afford and oil change regimen like that, but I guess cost is a factor for me. Thats why the thought of th 15K and every 60K comes to mind with a bypass.

I live in a HOT climate, drive up/down a lot of windy roads in lower gears at higher RPM's, tow a lot, but most of my mileage is short runs. I think all of this type of driving is actually harder on an engine than high-mileage runs.
It has been my experience in the past that ultimately you gain a lot more life out of your engine by tightening you interval times with oil changes and maintenance. I have gone a lot further in the overall long run than most before any major overhauls and down time. It does work for me, and, also many others.
Some go 15K between oil changes with synthetics, some even more, but they are also investing bucks in oil testing to make certain their oil is OK. If you are going to go that distance, then you might want to consider testing. I would then think that changeing your bypass should be at 30K instead of 60K to maximize on the effectivity of the bypass in the equasion.
To me, you either pay up-front or somewhere out the end. My frequency of oil changes is more like an intallment plan, and I already know it lengthens the out the end part. The out the end part can be very expensive, and can come a lot sooner when you go to lengthy oil change periods. There is more to oil changes than dirt, acids, etc are just as if not more damaging to bearings.

Its completely up to the owner.
Remember that these engines are built to go 500K before it is time to open it up for internal service.
The way I see it many of us may never even see 2-300K on our current trucks, unless you haul for a living.
I would say that you can spend your money better some where else!!!!!!!!

Jeez I thought I was waiting to long between changes. I change my oil (Rotella T) synthetic and fuel filter every 6k of mostly highway mileage. I was going 7500 miles but felt guilty. Not so sure now. What about the soot build up? This oil stains my hands.
