Do they make any 4 k gov kits for the 24 valve? Wes

No.<br><br>The ecm stops full load fueling at 3200.<br><br>Max high idle RPM is 3500.<br><br>with bigger injectors it is possible to go to 3500...but there is very little power up there

 

Sounds like the need for a 24V with a Piers Stooopid pump to me!

I have a question for those with or considering a P pump conversion. At what rpm do the stock valves hit the pistons and what do you consider a safe operating rpm with regard to valve piston contact? Inquiring minds want to know! Larry

 

I believe the the valves on the 24v engine begin to float at 3700rpm...

Only one of the intake valves touched on each piston and it was the same one on all three. I went with a bigger gasket this time and when the $$ is available I'll go to the heavier valve springs. They are $25/each.<br><br>Nathan
