dodgeboy:

The 24 valve engines do not use the 4K Gov Spring
Kit because their fuel pump (VP-44) is electronically
controlled. To be able to have and use the 4K gov
spring kit you would need to install a P7100 Fuel
Pump on your 24 valve engine.

---------
John_P

No.

The ecm stops full load fueling at 3200.

Max high idle RPM is 3500.

with bigger injectors it is possible to go to 3500...but there is very little power up there

Re:4K Gov for 24 valve

I have a question for those with or considering a P pump conversion. At what rpm do the stock valves hit the pistons and what do you consider a safe operating rpm with regard to valve piston contact? Inquiring minds want to know! Larry

Only one of the intake valves touched on each piston and it was the same one on all three. I went with a bigger gasket this time and when the $$ is available I'll go to the heavier valve springs. They are $25/each.

Nathan
