3rd gen wheels on a 96?

Im trying to find out if H2 wheels will work on a 96. I know they work on 3rd gens with the centers milled. Ive posted a few times and got no answer. So if anyone has used 3rd gen wheels on a 2nd gen that should help me figure it out.
Thanks, Matt

3rd gens 17" from an 03' worked on my 95 2500 it was heavy duty I think dana 80 rear. although I had to break the tab inside the center caps and they seemed like the center caps where not completely on. but no mods to the rims, I have heard others putting H2 hummer rims on with a little grinding.
good luck

Let's wake this thread back up!!

I would like to install factory aluminum wheels on my 97. However, I have heard the 00-02 wheels have backspace issues on the 94-99 trucks. Does anybody know how the 03-present wheels fare on the 94-99 trucks?
