No oil leaks yet and still on the original internal tranny parts (except tc and vb)

What on earth do you do to put that many miles on a truck? If your truck is 2 1/2 years old and you drive it every day of the year, that would be about 900 days old. You would have to run 408 miles 365 days a year (every day) to put that many miles on it. Do you ever take a day off? ???
How often do you change oil and what kind do you use?

Re:200,000 baby
Bob,
If he's hauling for a livin it's not that many miles. I've got a friend whos family owns a trucking business and some of their drivers I know talk about how to fudge the books so they don't have to stop after 8 hours or whatever the federal max is. If your driving mostly hiway and your going by the book, you could easily go over 100,000 miles in a year. But knowing truckers trying to make a buck, I bet some even get to 200K miles a year. Infact my friend has been pulled over and told to go take a nap because his over been over hours many times.

Re:200,000 baby
Truck purchased March 1 of 2000. It is tagged as a 2001 year model.
Truck is around 1,320 days old. Got 368,980 miles as of today. Thats only 279 per day average.
Oil? I have used Asmoil, Rotella, Delo, Valvoline Blue. there all good oil. Just keep it changed and it doesn't matter what you use.
I currently use Rotella. Got tired of ordering the Amsoil. I change around 4,000 miles.

Re:200,000 baby
I'm going to stick my $.02 worth in on this subject
I've got a 97 3500 that just rolled over 636,300 miles coming back from a run from Victoria, Tx to Lawrenceburg, In. I bought the truck used in 98 with 20,000 miles on it. I leased on with a trucking company and have been running steady since then. Just like BigBlackDodge, you can roll up the miles in South Tx & Louisiana by hauling oilfield supplies. I have a friend with a 97 with 650,000 miles & his last truck was a 3/4 ton that he sold with 510,000 on it. Another guy stopped using his 3500 with a winch & gin poles on it at 620,000 miles. He bought a F450 but he won't admit the mistake he made.
Just keep the oil changed, use clean fuel & drive
