04.5 mid range power loss

I have an 2004.5 and among other problems, its getting hard to start, I have to turn it over quite a bit before it starts. I have right at 75000 miles on it, I have a quad std box on it, it also feels, when you take off, it has a flat spot in the acceleration around the midrange. don't really know what rpm's, but it acts like i am either losing fuel or boost on it. Even with the quad off, it still does it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a supply pump like a FASS to keep inlet pressure up?

As above probably lift pump on the way out if not already gone. Also could have damaged the injector pump (CP3). A third item to check is the comon rail pressure relief valve. Guess if you don't already have one I would suggest a fuel pressure gague to see what is going on. Would/could be any/all of the above.

Running a fuel box w/o a fuel pressure gauge is like boost-braking w/o a tranny temp gauge... it's just a matter of time

That is what mine did when the LP was going. Check for codes also. When was the last time you changed your fuel filter?
