Another gauge picture thread
Question for you guys about install. I was just wanting to run a power line from the batery for the gauges and split it to a couple of switches for powering them up and lighting them up. Maybe a dimmer for the lights. My reasoning for this is the dealer can never say I messed the factory harness up by tapping. Thoughts?
There is someting about those dash pods that just look cheesy. I think maybe just three autometer single pods mounted up there might be cool. I really like the dipricol mech fuel pressure, egt, trans half sweep because they all have the redline just like the factory gauges. The dipricol boost by it self on the pillar looks good since it does not have the redline.
why couldnt you get it to fit? im just about to buy the over head for my insight

This configuration is my first choice for getting three gauges in. My concern is about the weight of the pod/gauges and also running the wire. How difficult is that? Did you have to use brackets to support the pod? Where does the wire run?
Once you bundle the wires together its not that hard to install. I basically had most of it terminated before I put them in. The pyro lead just reached I didn't even trim it off. Wrapped the wires to keep a nice tight bundle and it just fits in behind the headliner and down the pillar.
My only concern is when I have to replace the windshield and getting the same type of velcro to replace it. Other than that its nice if you decide to change your mounting system, its non-destructive to the interior. Also leaving it black it seems totally stealth against the windshield, can't even tell you have gauges from the outside..

The EV2 gauges are all electronic so its only wires to run for the boost, pyro and TTemp. Tubing wouldn't be that hard either. The pod has a couple of tabs that hook under the headliner and 2 very strong 3M velcro pads that connect to the windshield.

Ok, thanks for the details.
My contribution. Just did this install over the weekend. Pretty straight forward and easy. fuel pressure on the column, and pyro/boost/trans temp on the dash. Very happy with it, ordered everything from diesel manor, picked it up a couple weeks ago at the shipping office but didnt have time till this week to finish the install
Still have to do all the fuel plumbing in the engine bay though.

The overhead mount did not fit the Insight. It was made for the Edge Juice as the wire connector on the Insight is placed differently from the Juice and keeps the Insight from fully fitting into the mount. I tried to "customize" the mount to fit it but the way the mount is molded it did not work.
That was some time ago when the Insight was still pretty new. Maybe they have an overhead mount made specifically for the Insight now, I don't know.
Hope that helps and ya didn't spend the $$ for an overhead mount that won't work!!

Here's my ISSPRO EV Gauges in an SRT10 A Piller mount and 3 gauge dash mounted pod...
