edge insight cts

just received new Edge Insight CTS monitor. looks great and works great. i would highly recommend this. the only problem im having is the dash mount i ordered with it is garbage. no good way to mount to dash besides the crapy velcro the doesn't stick to your dash. does anyone have the same problem or a solution for my fix. any ideas would be appreciated.

In my research on getting a CTS I think I read we're some use double sided 3m tape to hold it on. Make sure you wipe the dash down with alcohol real good to wipe off any oils or protectants so the tape holds good.

I had the same thoughts as you about the dash mount pod. I ended up using the Geno's single gauge A-pillar to mount it to. Then I fabricated a right angle bracket from a piece of aluminum, inserted it into the a-pillar opening, secured with 4 screws, ( 2 on the a-pillar and 2 on the windshield adapter mount.) Maybe you can check the last photo looking down through the windshield from the outside.

Not the best solution I know but I already had the single gauge A-pillar. I used the tabbed ouick connect bracket that came with the windshield mount apparatus. This way I can detach it easily for downloads. It's about an 0ne inch away from the a-pillar gauge mount hole so I can get to the harness, and back up camera plug. I filled the void with a piece of foam pipe insulation. Again it's not the best but until I come up with something better it will have to do.

The windshield mount unit would have been OK but I figured it would look like a GPS unit and be targeted by thieves. No point in asking for trouble. One benefit from this mount is it moves the unit a little closer for my less than perfect vision. Ha Ha.

Thanks. I see a SRT-10 single gauge grab handle in my future with an insight CS or CTS. My original grab handle is broken anyway.
