Make Some Noise! Virginia
Cost of fuel is high, I am just too busy, don't have enough money to pay attention, the wife has me working weekends. Any other excuses out there?
It is a new year with old friends. I still have the property in Surry. The road is better but still a long way from being a freeway. It is time for another get together. We need to blow off some stress and tear up some of those old appliances, cut holes in paper or just make a bunch of noise. The cannon is primed and loaded. Let,s have another Appliance Shoot! Spring is just arround the corner and yawl need to try out those AR's you just bought.LOL Whatta ya say?

I usually get more responses than this. Guess the political climate is holding some back. What better way is there that we can show the other side that guns are fun in the right environment? Safety First. Range rules are simple. Guns must be legally owned. No incendiary devices. Convicted or indicted felons are not invited. Keep the booze in the truck until the shooting stops. Catagory III weapons are ok. Even if it is a Ma Duece. I will just have to notify the neighbors. LOL The range has an earth back stop. Behind it are woods. I can set up a hundred yards for rifle and anything less for hand and small caliber guns. Bring that old hard drive, tv set, lawn mower (without gas in it this time). I have a tractor with a bucket too unload appliances and to aid in cleanup. Looking forward to this. Thinking about late spring or early summer?

Boatnik, I was there when DTR #7 was formed. A bunch of us "TDR" guys met up in Gloucester and before I knew it, I was part of the #7 club.
Anyway, I'd be game for an appliance shoot - especially now that I have a new Glock M19 and Taurus-made single shot .410 I'd like to play with. However... VA is a wee bit too far. LOL

I am still game for it. I work for Dominion Fireworks so May through early July are pretty much filled up as you could only imagine. Any time after that will work. I have nine open acres for camping but the road in is very tight for anything larger than a 24 foot camper. The ground is sandy and drains well for tent camping and there is a well near by. Bring your own electricity if desired. Campfires welcome. We can accomadate a multitude of targets. The backstop will be redone here shortly as soon as I can scrounge up some old railroad ties off CSX. I hope to have a solid bench at one hundred yards plus for the serious varmint hunters. The cannon is rolled out and ready to repell boarders.
