Gtg

OK, it's been mighty quiet around here!

Did everyone have fun voting?

We're pretty busy in the shop with a stream of trucks through here for service and 2 big winter projects - started tearing the 6.7L White Lightning truck apart last month for next February's $50K Super Stock race in FL... we're doing some radical stuff to it.

I highly recommend attending the event for anyone who's able to make it - there's already 6 other guys from 4 states going there as part of TEAM XLR8R, but we always welcome more boots on the ground.
Sponsoring Lucus's truck with the $500 entry fee means LazarSmith has a booth to run & hobknobbing to do on top of shepherding a truck & driver through the quarter in excess of 10.49 E.T. @ 126 MPH (how do I know what it runs already? - because I aim to make sure we'll be required to have that 4-pt. rollbar we're fabbing for it!)
Anyway, the event rules virtually gaurantee a bunch of neat rides with innovative stuff & plenty of carnage - for a $25K 1st place, folks will tune on "kill".
This is the first diesel event of it's kind, so it'll be an historic occasion.

Also, we're planning a GTG here at the shop - just need some input as to when is best for y'all... beer & BBQ provided in thanks to those who've sent work our way.

p.s. sorry for hitting the wrong button earlier - I know all those formulae this early in the day can be a real headache!

Looks like it'll be next month, weekend of the 11th or 18th - unless the boss let's me schedule it on my birthday (Saturday the 4th).

OK - after the deluge of emails, phone calls, posts, smoke signals, texts & tweets, postcards and one naughty missive from a secret stalker - all the polling results have been tabulated for the date of our inaugural LazarSmith shop party & bonfire jamboree.
Weekend of the 11th it is!

Arrivals & departures scheduled for Friday, Saturday & Sunday... if I'm not here working I'll be here sleeping.

Please RSVP if you'll be bringing more than one person (actually, might want to RSVP anyhow - I can't find my Post-It Note with the poll results.)

They should expand their horizons - maybe read a little (dang video games)!

Machine Design reports what the military will use next year, Isaac Asimov tells me what they'll be rocking in 10 years, and Tom Clancy reveals what they're doing now.

Use the free Firefox browser by Mozilla, it is faster and safer than Internet Explorer AND it has spell check incorporated in it already. As you type a message your misspelled words are underlined in red and you just right click on them and a menu pops up with the correct spelling

Sorry to hear that...

That expains a lot - last time I called there, when I pressed 1 for English all I got was a warning tone...

That guy has obviously never been through security in India. That's a full patdown. They should take you to dinner first, but I'm not a big fan of Indian food.
