I haul travel trailers for a living and the jerking I get from them is about to kill me,but I'm scared to spend the cash on something like that, does it work as good as they advertise? It's alot of darn money, and I've had bad experience with "Money Back Garrantee" before (Anyone want a used Workhorse "Power Module"?) $700 bucks was WAAAyyyy more than it was worth..
It works PHENOMINALLY well!! Well worth the money. It is built really well, and of the highest quality. I keep it on my truck because it weighs 97lbs.!! and just use a locking hitch pin so no one takes it.

You are correct, I am NOT using a WD system.

I am using this to tow the loads:

I will definitely check into the Putnam Hitches. I take it they have the highest rated capacity?

D. Wiggs, that is one fine arsed truck. In response to another thread you had, do not lift it. It looks too darn good right now.

Thank you. I am lifting it, BUT it won't really look lifted because I am leveling out the front and adding 40x11.5" tires instead of the 37x10" tires I have now. It will look proportionally the same except with beefier tires which is what I really wanted. Plus, the tires will be even better in the snow!

32' (and soon to be 36') trailer that weighs about 6K empty plus a 4K car plus generator, air compressor, tires, wheels, etc etc. All in all, about 6K in cargo!

The 36' would have the same cargo with even more curb weight (about 8K).

Not necessarily. GN trailers (really nice ones) are almost double that of a tag. The other problem is that if I do a GN trailer, then I might as well go to a two car trailer so I can tow both cars, but then I lose the convenience of being able to store the trailer most places and the proce goes up even more. Not to mention, I like having the bed to put stuff in that I don't wat in the trailer.

No problem. We can work something out! Believe me, if I find the right GN trailer, I might jump on it, but I just don't know how much I would use the two car capacity.

Have you looked at a Superhitch by Torklift ?

They are mainly used for people with campers that pull heavy trailers with a 4' extension.

I have a picture of it in my gallery.

It says 15K load carrying, 17k weight distributing.

Hope this helps..............Jim

You have to click on Members gallery, there is more than what you see when you look at my profile.

Man, you've come a long way since I last talked to you.

Yes defitnitley lift it just enough to clear the 40's and no more. I like that tight wheel well look.

........Jim

On Edit: here it is, and it is 2":

Argh, in my opinion you have the perfect ratio. I think the 40's are gonna look funny. But, it's your truck and it still looks great. Have fun with it.
