wedge car trailer question

i'm not into towing heavy by no means...just curious about the weight that the truck takes on with a wedge trailer with a full load.

thinking its a dually, what sort of weight is "safe" at the rear wheels. considering the trailer is loaded with three cars etc.

thanks

Haulin_in_Dixie is the one to ask but...

Wedge trailer... 7500?
Cars x 3... 12000?

Pin weight about 25% of that or abotu 5000?

A newer wedge weighs in around 7000- 8000 lbs but many of the older ones are over 10000 lbs. cars are varing weights but remember that full size trucks and SUVs weigh over 6000 apiece

I hauled 3 0ne ton Ford Fed Ex vans on a wedge pulled by a 90 Ram dually.

5K pin weight is dead on.

averaged 10 mpg all day long with that load...did 26 trips like that.

53ft.
reg cab 5 spd with a gear splitter. I learned after the first trip to have the first two vans backed on because some had the 460 V8 and I needed to get the weight back off the truck.
This was even better then the big wall I had from the back of the first van.

I had the vans touching bumpers and the back one hung off about a foot.
