My stock 02 will push EGT's in the 1250 range pulling my 32' trailer, so I would get some gauges. As long as I keep the EGT's in the 1150 range it will pull hills all day and not get hot.

I also use some engine cleaner and pressure washer about once a year to clean the radiator around the puke bottle.

X2. If you can see oil and dirt it's bad. The puke bottle spray can plug the radiator without you even being able to see it. Best thing is to remove and clean it. That can save your motor. I learned this the $$$$$ way

x2 put a rubber hose on there and route it underneath, that puke bottle will coat the back side of the radiator solid.

Thanks a million guys, I beleive I will put a longer hose on it, due to it does puke on the front cover aswell and makes it all nasty, I work for a large trucking company and we had acouple picky drivers who do that that on there old Detroits, Everyone always asked what that hose was hanging down there....

I have cleaned a couple radiators off on trucks that were starting to get warm. You gotta pull the radiator out to clean it off good. You will be surprized how much crap gets in there.

Don't want to to, but . . thanks for the advice on pulling radiator. Sounds like good PM at next coolant change. (No problems and hope to keep it that way).
