Torklift Frame Tie Downs
Hello board:
Just recently picked up a Sunlite popup pickup camper. The price was right!
I really dont like the idea of the box mounted tie downs......question integrity, and dont like scratching up my rails everytime I want to put the camper in.
I've seen several of the frame mounted tie down systems in a few of our local state parks. They look like they would be very handy, much quicker to hook up once rigged, and I like the idea of bolting to the frame.
I've found a website:
http://www.torklift.com/
I'm wondering, how many different brands are out there,....and which are people using? What would I expect to pay if I ordered this setup for my truck? I'm guessing they arent real cheap.
Thanks.

Don't know about the cost but dealer told me "NO DRILLING OF ANY HOLES IN THE FRAME" I made some like a "J" hook that hook around the bottom of the frame and extend up to bolt into the supports between the top of the frame and the bed. This hides almost everthing up under the sheet metal when slide-in 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 tube is removed.

i have some torklifts. they are really heavy duty. prolly cost 3xx$ can't recall exactly. no drilling either. our camper weighs around 3700lbs and the camper doesn't move. others use the happijac system, but those mount to the box.

The Torklifts aren't cheap...
But, I tore out a bunch of bed welds with the Happijacs and my 4100 lb camper torqueing on them. Bit the bullet and ordered the Torklift frame mounts.

I have the Torklifs and like them the ones that bolt to the box are about half the price but if you read about them wrecking the boxes buy the good ones.
