How did you get the trailer brakes to unlock ? when you release the air from them they will lock like a parking brake.

Heaviest load I have towed is my 22ft Hurricane boat. Weighs around 5500lb with everything in it such as gear, jackets, gas.

What is that contraption beside the trailer? Some kind of bale loader? How does it work? I'm alway looking for an easier way to handle squares.

Its a loader, it hooks to the side of the trailer, it has a v mouth that necks down to the size of the bale, the axel has a gear that connects to a lifting convayer (sp) with teeth, goes to the top then it falls on a platform and a hired hand stacks it, it is nice, and not hard to use. only down fall is u cant go that fast due to the teeth riping the bale, but at slow speeds ur fine, and it is still faster then loading by hand. if anyone knows where to buy a loader like this will someone let us know. the one in the pic was a loaner from 1950s, but worked well.

I'd like to have one of those myself. Looks neat. I have never seen one in these parts though.

Wouldn't be too hard to build a loader like that....
