So whats the most you have towed
i helped a produce semi that had broke down and we hooked his trailer (53ft) to my 5th wheel and i pulled it about 50 mile to the plant for him so it would not be late. my truck pulled it but did not like it much. and yes the brakes on our trucks really do suck. had to down shift the auto to slow enough to use the wimpy brakes. don't try this at home!

Get this, 14k ford 555c, 17k sand blasting sand bags, 6k 29' goose neck, and 100 gallons of diesel w/ a 7.3idi 2wd crew cab dually. 2nd gear (auto) as fast as we could go. only had to go 9 miles to the house though. that ferd was screaming. she was a squattin
36' trailer loaded own with tires, 8k truck, 7k trailer and 18k on the trailer. then i used to haul duece and a halfs all the time, 8k truck,7k trailer and 13.5k on the trailer. did this for 100s of miles
Not quite that much...
But these two are among the most, the top pic is at 23,700 lbs GVWR, the bottom is a total of 30,400 lbs, both WITHOUT factory overloads... Hey its a 3/4 ton, gimme a break LOL, theres a guy on here that towed 42K with his for over 3K miles tho, doubt ill catch him tho... anyways here goes...

Hope yall enjoy

[/IMG]I know its a ford but its what i have to work with rite now. I think it was 255, and it was a 50 mile trip at 70. I have afew more in my photos (Cant figure out how to post anymore). cool one of the boat and 16ft flat bed with golf cart. then my trip back from the deer lease.

What is that contraption beside the trailer? Some kind of bale loader? How does it work? I'm alway looking for an easier way to handle squares.
Its a loader, it hooks to the side of the trailer, it has a v mouth that necks down to the size of the bale, the axel has a gear that connects to a lifting convayer (sp) with teeth, goes to the top then it falls on a platform and a hired hand stacks it, it is nice, and not hard to use. only down fall is u cant go that fast due to the teeth riping the bale, but at slow speeds ur fine, and it is still faster then loading by hand. if anyone knows where to buy a loader like this will someone let us know. the one in the pic was a loaner from 1950s, but worked well.
