A poll for how much we have towed without ending up at the bottom of a river bed in a bloody mess..... Good Idea!
Only thing is I am confused by the poll posting process. There is a button for it, but I don't get how to lay it out?
Someone else smarter will.
I'll chime in with my weak 15K total. (hard to touch 40+k on a SRW, atl east an live to tell about it)

Ouch, I just set a personal record, grossing out at just over 24K with a triple axle cargo trailer. On the trailer axles was 15K!! Not intended, we were moving loaded the trailer, even put somethings in storage to prevent overloading the trailer. Went between 50-55. Truck drove fine, I was worried though. Oh the trailer was a bumper pull!

Hmmm, 9K maximum for the truck. 43k-9k= 34K for the trailer. Besides being overloaded on the trailer, I hope you have several sets of spare tires for the trailer. I would guess you will have to change the tires 2 or 3 times in 3,500 miles. Each tire will have 8.5k on them. I don't think you have much over 6.5K rating on the tires. Load range H?

Wow impressive, but I don't know if it is smart. With a single wheel you have to be over every axle and tire weight, truck and trailer. How much are you licensed for?

I'm not against pulling a little weight, I have a 40' tandem dually also. Heaviest I have been is 37,000#. It was heavier but I am only licensed for 38,000 so I took some off, also I was a little over on the trialer axles. So buy taking some off I stayed legal on all of my axle and tire ratings, tuck and trailer. I just can't imagine pulling that with a single wheel.

This falls into one of the major internet rules:

W/o pictures = it never happened.

No doubt my Dodge could do it, just not sure I could.

I would like to know the pin weight as well as the weight on the trailer axles too.

The engine will do it, however I've had 28780# on mine got the weight ticket to prove it. The truck did great, though the leather seats seemed alittle puckered at the end of my 400 mile trip. Fuel millage sucked, 9 mpg. Buy the way were is the scale reciept. 43000# I would have keeped that ticket for braggin rights. I kept mine.

You're in TUGBOAT territory now, they pump out 12,000+/- HP (god knows what in ft. lbs.)?

Cincydiesel , do you have a CDL ? If not you were lucky you didn't get more than a weight ticket . What were you hauling ? In IL you don't leave the scales unless you're legal . I've seen a lot of cranes at the scales shifting loads and hopper bottom feed haulers hand shoveling to adjust axle weight .
