Need help hooking up Jordan controller

I have the trailer wiring harness from the factory that you plugin under the dash.

The wire colors

1. White/ red stripe says 30 amp, What is that go to ?

2. Blue Heavy wire says trailer brake, I figure it hooks up to the Jordan Blue wire that is for brakes.

3. Green/ Black stripe Ground, I know that 1

4. Blue/ white stripe, It says vehicle brake sense Imput, Where do you hook that 1 to ?

Jordan Controller wires

1. White is Ground goes to battery negative I know that 1.

2. Red goes to battery Positive I know that 1.

3. Blue I figure goes to the Blue on wiring harness correct me if I'm wrong.

Any and all help is much appreciated.

The Blue/White on the Truck harness yo don't use, so properly secure it so it doesn't short out.

The White/Red stripe is your HOT wire. Hook it up to the Jordan Red wire. By doing this you will have the Jordan hooked up thru the properly fuse protected circuit.

You can see how I mounted mine in the Members Photo gallery.

What is this factory wiring harness? I got the tow pkg on my truck but never noticed any additional parts included. Is the harness already plugged in or located somewhere near the pedals?

help!

Ok guys not to take over this thread, but since Sittingbull got it worked out, please help me! I'm halfway through the jordan brake install, and am stuck. I'm wondering if I'm missing parts.? I've mounted the brake arm bracket assembly, and the cable clamp bracket. The cable clamp bracket is mounted up with two long 2 3/8" sheet metal screws. Next they want you to mount the display module, and calls for two 1.5" sheet metal screws... I dont see these anywhere...were they in a separate bag, or what? I'm a little lost at this step..

I'm not sure of your description of screws that were included in your package.

I used the two LONG black colored sheet metal screws (1.5"?) to mount the display module; used 2 rather short white sheet metal screws (3/8"?) to hold the cable clamp onto the under portion of the dash; and a couple of hex head machine screws holding the bracket onto the brake pedal.

Its been a while since I installed it and can't find the instructions, but I did take a look a moment ago and thats what I saw with mine.

HTH.

Do you have a couple extra short screws left over? If so, use those to connect the cable clamp and use those longer ones to mount the display module.

Oh you north Florida boys are all alike.

The wiring harness should have been in your glove box or your arm rest console. If I remember correctly, all the screws were in a little bag in the box. If not, drop by the plant and have Jordan give you two. I mounted mine on the knee bolster directly in line with the brake pedals.

Do you have adjustable pedals? If so, you should use the collar that mounts on the brake pedal servo.

If you need handholding on this, PM me.

Thanks guys, I was using the wrong screws, it's all under control now. Interesting the results drinking a few beers and working on your truck produces =]

I am having a problem with the wiring setup though. I never saw or got any harness/hookup when I bought the truck, although I did buy the trailer tow package. It's possible it's hooked up underneath and I just don't know what to look for. I did see what looks like an OBD port under there, but thats what I figured it was...

I do have adjustable pedals, and got the appropriate mounting bracket installed for that...

Thanks for the hand holding fiverbob....

Lightman, I found mine the (wiring harness ) in the glovebox in a plastic sealed bag with some instructions. Now once you find it the plug in connector was under dash kinda towards firewall behind emergency brake, it has a Blue Connector the same as your wiring harness. Mine was mounted to a clip to hold it in place had to slide it off kinda hard took a big *** piece of my finger with it when it came off.

Woops I haven't updated this thread. Yesterday I did locate the BLUE connector, but thanks much for pointing that out today sittenbull. If I had known it was blue from the start that would have been much easier. Mine was taped up to other wire bundles, and a hard yank broke the tape and luckily didn't lose any **** parts of my fingers! Now I've searched the whole vehicle better than a cop would, and I have no harness I guess my original dealer didn't put it in or the PDI guy stole it. Arghh. Oh well, at least the confusing part is over, I've got it all mounted up, just need the harness and to route the control cable. Thanks much for the help guys.
