They have on large showroom with tons (and I meen tons) of JD equipment in it. 
It's kinda funny really cause a lot of the tour in the HQ building were these little Japaneas people. ??? It's realy funny to see a 4 foot nothing man standing by a 15' tall dozer. <br><br>Something else you might want to check out is the Ertl toy museum. I collect toy tractors, so it was pretty cool to see as well. <br><br>DB

The John Deere Pavilion is in Moline IL, that is the new museum now. Gotta to go thou that ;D<br><br>Did you say Ertl, here is my John Deere 1/64 set, I got four more sets but my camera will break taken those pics of the "other" brands , actual I got two boxes filled with 1/64 tractors that I don't have up yet. I had to pull teeth to put the John Deere one up<br><br><br>

Man Ricky, you're as ate up as my cusin Mike. He bleeds Green We put the 7810 in a perade this summer and Mike went and had a sign shop make stickers to put on the engine covers that say "FEAR the DEERE" <br><br> I have over 6,000 tractors in my collection. All sizes, and makes 1/64, 1/32, 1/50, 1/16, and one 1/8 scale. Most of them are in boxes but my whole room is covered with shelves of toy tractors. : I don't collect them like I used to, I spend too much money on my truck and ATV's now but used to go to all the shows and everything. <br><br>DB

"The John Deere Store stocks one of the largest collections of the ERTL toy line anywhere and many of the products are highly sought after collectibles."<br><br>O.K. now I am really, really sad about the fact I won't be able to make it over there. :'( Oh well..maybe next year, or we could set up an annual meet in Waterloo or Moline for all the Midwest DTR members. Just a thought.....

Drive 8 hrs on the road and placed my order for my new trailer. Total cost is at $12,663.<br><br>Been looking at the maps all day and got my trip planned for the end of Jan with the wife.<br><br>Day 1 leaving from Cynthiana Ky and driveing to St Louis Mo across to Kansas City Mo staying the night somewhere around Kansas City. est mileage 597<br><br>Day 2 driven up to Sioux City Ia picking my trailer up stay night. est mileage 278<br><br>Day 3 drive to Waterloo Ia stay night. est mileage 238<br><br>Day 4 tour the John Deere Waterloo Works Plant that morning and drive to Moline Il and tour the John Deere museum. Then drive to My In-laws just about 30 mins west of Terre Haute stay night. est mileage 415<br><br>Day 5 Leave In-Laws with Lil' Hauler and drive on home. est 235

Hey CH,<br> On your search for the perfect aluminum gooseneck cattle trailer did you come across any negatives on the Wilson? The reason I ask is because here in Oklahoma there might be a dozen Livestock / Horse trailer manufacturers. Of that dozen probably 6 or 7 make an aluminum trailer. It is rare to find a good used trailer. If you do ,the resale price on it it not much lower than a new trailer sells for. As far as the Wilsons go I dont know if I have ever seen a used Wilson cattle trailer ( gooseneck). There is a Wilson dealer in OKC , but they sell mainly the semi trailers. Was just curious on how your research fared. Looks like it was a fair price when you look at the cost of comparable trailers from other manufacturers.

I didn't found no negative things about the Wilson trailer, there big truck trailers go up and down the highway everyday around here. Just about all the stockyards I haul to have the 53' Wilson Brand tractor trailers, if the truckers want them then I take it that they are good trailers. The goosnecks are made the same way as the big trailers, alot of people will bad mouth the riveted over the welded. Wilson is the only trailer mfg that doesn't weld there trailers together.<br>I did found a few used Wilson Gooseneck trailers, one in Texas that was a 32', tri axle a 2000 model for $21,500, 3 in Minn., a 32' for 16,500 a 97 model, a 28' for 14,500 a 95 model and a 24' for 10,500 a 96 model. All of these looked great but I didn't want the age on the 28' or the 24' and the 32' are to long for my part of the country. So I priced a new 24' the way I want it set up and found the price very nice. I wanted a trailer with the exter maker lights and exter stop/turn/marker lights on the rear. The Wilson Brand os set up for commercal use and there is so many opions that I could choose. <br>I want another aluminum gooseneck, but with Featherlite, 4-star, EBY or the rest of them you can't get the ventilation in the summer time that is needed for long hauls. My featherlite has been a good trailer, but alot of heat starts building up after awhile with a full load of cattle.<br>Hope this answers some of your questions, after hauling for 5 years I think I have found the best trailer for my needs. I wonder what will the horse people think about this Wilson Brand

Just to give an idea of weight, on my order sheet, it had the est. weight the new 24' Wilson Gooseneck at only 4600#, my old 20' Gooseneck Brand w/pipe sides wieght that.<br><br>I also got two exter marker light packages on this Wilson brand, out of the factor it comes with three marker lights on the top rail and 2 on the fender per side total of 5 per side. I am haven them put the factor ones on with 9 more per side ;D<br>Added an exter set of stop/tail/turn lights and upgraded to the LEDs on them. Wanted to do the whole trailer in LEDs but with 28 markers lights not inclueing the 5 marker lights on the rear would be one heck of an increase of money for that opioin. :-[

If so how do you like it? <br>[/quote]<br><br>No not yet, they didn't want to deal with me on the Featherlite and with the Farm Machery Show coming up I waited and yesterday at the FMS Wilson Factory reps were there and I talked to them about the price of mine and that they wouldn't deal with my trade in. They got me a dealer in IN that I am sending my order form with all the opions and price from the Tenn dealer to and they siad that they would beat the first price and work on the trade in. So I am going back to the FMS today and given my order form to the IN dealer and see what kinda of price he can do.<br>Still gettin one just got to do something with the Featherlite first. Either sell it out right or trade in. The Tenn dealer dosen't want trade in so he isn't gettin my business. I will take pics of the 26x8 Wilson Brand Gooseneck at the show this afternoon.
