My next cattle trailer

I know we have gotten into some decisions on Livestock trailers, but I just called and ot prices on a Wilson Brand cattle gooseneck trailer. I am looking at a 26 footer. The dealer that I talked to was in Nashville Tn.

A picture is below

Some of the things that I want is the exter running light package, a left hand roll up with full swing rear door, two cut gates and of course the lighted sign on the front of the neck. ;D

Nice trailer, my best friend has one just like that in a 32' footer with a roll up rear door and a cool little lighted sign on the front with their name on it. What kinda $'s you talking for a trailer like that?

That same trialer with those opions on a 24' was 12,9xx, he has to figure one on a 26'. the 26' is the longest trailer that I can have and still get around on these farms. I would like a 28' but I know that I would then have trouble at some of my custmers getting in gates and around barns to load or unload.
The dealer said that the price difference between the 24 and 26' was only like a few $100.00s. He is sending me the infor thou the mail of the sides pattern, I think I want the side pattern as shown in the picture above.

Nothin' brings a smile to my face faster then waching a big herd come running at you. I got to get some pics soon.

Ya that's the sides my buddy's trailer has. He say's he wishes they had a 28' instead of that 32' cause the 32' is just to hard to manuver on some of the farms they have.

I would like a bigger trailer but can;t get around on these farms with that much trailer. I may be able to go to a 28' but that is pushing it. So I better stay with a 26' that is still 2' longer then mine now.

My truck can handle 26 feeder cattle in my 24' now, wonder what that 26' will do to my truck? I should be able to get 30 head in that 26'.

A bone stock 98 1-ton reg. cab/cab&chassis, with a 5-speed and 4.10 gears. They put over 30 head on there and have no problems.

Re:My next cattle trailer

You know what is sad, I did a search on used Wilson brand cattle trailers. I found some 48' and 52' pot belly trailers only 6-7 years old for sell for around $14-17,000s.

A 24' gooseneck is $12-13,000 new. I couldn't found any used on the net this morning.

I think feeders but I honestly don't remember. It's been a while since we talked about it. I just remember him saying they had well over 30 head on it. :o
