looking at a travel trailer.....any tips
ok this is my first travel trailer i have no clue what i am looking at or for that matter what to look for.this is what i am looking at..1989 33ft PROWLER.......Air-conditioner, TV Antenna, Auxiliary Catalytic Heater, Open Floor Plan
Asking $ 2900 .......the reason it is 2900.00 is there are no beds... the people that had it used it as an office..and they also put a larger hotwater heater in it as well as washer and dryer hookups...from what i looked at it is clean no water stains anywhere. the roof was very clean..as for it not heaving beds that no big deal i can put some in it...should i look at anything special? do yall think is a good buy?.......and i will not be trailering it all over the place it will be set up at a year round camp ground....

The price is decent, as long as the condition is good, go for it. The big problems with trailers of any kind are electrical system faults, water leaks, and gas leaks. If this has been used as an office for some time, the typical electrical faults will have been taken care of, but do have it looked over by a good gas service person.
The other types of things that go haywire are the refrigerators, they conk out every few years on any trailer as they develop leaks and rust the boilers; the air conditioners, they are just throw away junk on everybody's rigs and have to be replaced every few years if used; and furnace controls, as long as you pull the furnace and replace the boards when they fail they are generally very inexpensive to repair.
As near as I can tell, you are getting a rig for less than a third it's book price, and beds are very inexpensive. Better yet, install SelectComfort air beds, and you will be really happy with the purchase, and will not have to screw around trying to install a cheap RV bed.

ok thank you for the reply. and actually i am going to pass on the one mentioned above..i found a 90 prowler 26 foot loaded very clean with retractable awning and screened in front porch that zipes to the awning..i got it for 2999.00 providing everything checks out ok. the reason that it is 2999.00 is there WAS a water leak in the rear cornner that they said had been fixed...so i went to look at it yesterday while it was pouring down rain out and there was no leaks. then i went back today to double check (ya know give the water time to seep in) and everything was dry...so i will find out tomorrow.....i will post pics if i get it...
