Kipor generator, anyone using one??

I'm looking to buy a 2K-3K watt generator, must be quiet.

Honda's are really popular but I'm reading some good stuff about the Kipors. Anyone using one, if so, how do you like it, what model, etc.

Thanks for the input.

I have the 3500ti and I am very pleased with it. Only problem I have is in the higher elevations it looses some power. From what I hear this happens to most engines anyway. I do believe they have a kit to re-jet the carb for higher elevations.

The Kipor is an ok unit, but it IS LOUD! I have two friends that just bought trailers, and they both said kind of noisy. vibs too. the honda and yamaha units are quieter than a battery operated dust buster!

Thumbs up Kipor Generators

I have the KGE3500ti and it's as quiet as the equivalent Honda (EU3000i) Fit and finish quality isn't as high but the price is less than half. Mine was $900 delivered and came with electric start, wheel kit, DC charge cables, and a cover all are extra on the Honda. Unit runs my 15k btu AC in the 5th wheel with no problems.

My EU3000i came with DC cables and electric start, but no cover or wheels. I bought a Honda for the same reason I bought a Cummins. Could have saved a few bucks and got something that was almost as good but....

I bought a Kipor 3500 Diesel and I really like it it is a little noisier than a gas model but i can run farm fuel in it if i want or if need i can just put some in a can as I am filling up the pickup to top it off, and it is suppoed to run 14 hours at half load on a tank.

I have used one to power a/c unit on a 23ft TT, then on our new 5th wheel, just one problem. Fuel gauge has not worked since new (Fit & Finish) other than that..it starts everytime. It was worth the money, I have notice some Large RV dealers are now selling these generators next to the Yamaha/Honda.

I got a 3000 Kipor unit with my Toy hauler I recently bought and have had a chance to use it once. I had it sitting 5 feet from the trailer running/powerering the A/C and I litteraly could not hear it inside. Even outside you could barly hear it if you walked around the corner of the trailer or on the oposite side of it. They are a Honda clone with all the exact same specs as one but 1/2 price.

Kipor is GREAT

I recently bought a kipor 2000 on ebay for 500$ on ebay brand new. It is just as quite as the honda despite what everyone says i have run mine beside a honda and it looks, sounds and runs the same at half the price. I dont know about everyone else but you can buy 2 kipors for the price of one honda so u cant go wrong i love mine. I use it to go floundering and run 1600Watts of lights for 2-7 hours at the time with no problems and i wont use more than 1.2 gallons of gas. it also has all the features of a honda .
