Installed Timbrens and love em

hey guys

i just installed a set of timbrens on my truck and love em
my truck used to sit down bad ( looked like a lifted SD ford signaling aliens with the headlights pulling a emtpy little trailer) now its sits level with around 14,000lbs on a goose neck and it only costed $144 and took less than 30 minutes to install

I've been thinking about these too rather then air bags....my 3500 will sag about 8-10" with a heavy loaded trailer

I know my spring pack is gettin weak so these along with a rebuilt spring pack should help !!

I was also thinking about installing them,my problem is I tow a 30' fk Cardinal T/T when hooked up even with weight distribution I'm sitting on my overload springs.Does all your trucks have overload springs. Does theTimbren work with out hitting overload.

i dont have overloads on my truck
but i dont think that the timbrens would hit the overloads?

man, since i put them on i have pull 3 loads one a test run with a f150 on a flatbed, and a load of cows weighing around 13,000 and now my truck is sitting on the timbrens, i guess its time to rearch my springs

nubby3 03-31-2004 07:01 PM

Sorry maybe I worded it wrong,What I ment is will my overload springs touch, before the timbrens touch and start working.

i don't have overloads on my truck, but when i installed my timbrens i did not like where they where coming into play in the suspension travel,so i called timbren directly and they told me what ones i needed and to call the dealer where i purchased them and to see if they had them, then i exchanged with the dealer.every thing is great now... :D ......all i had to exchange was the rubber spring, one bolt and it's off.the rest of the kit you keep on the truck.great product.here is where i purchased mine.

I put Timbrens on my truck also.
I had to deal with Timbren directly. I told them the problem I was having. There only concern was getting it right for my application, and they did.
I am a happy camper using Timbrens.

The Timbrens should have 1/2 - 3/4" clearence with an empty truck. They will touch way before the overload springs make contact. I like my Timbrens a lot, ordered them from www.stuff4trucks.com ($159)

Hey! That's a good deal. Less than I paid. Dealers in my area wanted $260. plus Tennessee's 9.25 % Tax.

Have the Timbrens helped to reduce the static shock loading when traveling down the highways when crossing them little old cracks in the highway? Or are they just to help the truck sit level when loaded?

BIG&BAD 04-06-2004 12:11 PM

they helped with the shock your talking about
made my truck more stable with a load :)
